چکیده
The particle shape influences the part properties in laser powder bed fusion, and flowability layer density (PLD) are considered link between properties. Therefore, this study investigates relationship these their influence on final for six 1.4404 (316L) powders eight AlSi10Mg powders. results show a correlation of with Pearson coefficient (PCC) ?0.89 PLD Hausner ratio, PCC ?0.67 ratio circularity, 0.72 circularity PLD. Furthermore, that beyond threshold, improvement PLD, or have no positive density. While water-atomized, least-spherical yielded parts high porosity, was achieved by feedstock higher circularities than gas-atomized powder.

Predictive Simulation of Process Windows for Powder Bed Fusion Additive Manufacturing: Influence of the Powder Bulk Density
The resulting properties of parts fabricated by powder bed fusion additive manufacturing processes are determined by their porosity, local composition, and microstructure. The objective of this work is to examine the influence of the stochastic powder bed on the process window for dense parts by means of numerical simulation. The investigations demonstrate the unique capability of simulating ma...

The Effect of Powder Recycling in Direct Metal Laser Deposition on Powder and Manufactured Part Characteristics
A potential way of improving the material efficiency and cost effectiveness of the Direct Metal Laser Deposition (DMLD) process is to take powder that is not utilised in each deposition attempt and re-use it in subsequent attempts (powder recycling). Currently, this is not widely implemented for fear of a detrimental effect on part quality. This study examines how powder recycling, using simple...

متن کاملSome aspects on designing for metal Powder Bed Fusion
Additive Manufacturing (AM) using the Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) is a relatively new manufacturing method that is capable of creating shapes that was previously practically impossible to manufacture. Many think it will revolutionize how manufacturing will be done in the future. This thesis is about some aspects of when and how to Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) when using the PBF method i...
